Import from U.K. commits to IceDogs

A six-foot-two, 192-pound forward who saw action in the top professional league in his native England has signed with the Niagara IceDogs. Alex Graham, the team’s second-round pick in the 2021 import draft, had one goal in 16 games with the Sheffield Steelers in the Elite Ice Hockey League. In 2019-20, the right-handed shot had 21 goals and 31 assists in 38 games with the Sheffield Steeldogs in the second-tier National Ice Hockey League. “This is a guy who can score at will and we believe he is capable of contributing all over the ice for us, and we can’t wait to get going,” IceDogs general manager Joey Burke said in welcoming Graham to the team. Forward Liam Kirk, one of Graham’s predecessors with the Steelers, signed a three-year entry level National Hockey League contract with the Arizona Coyotes after playing in the OHL with the Peterborough Petes.
